There are many big movies with iconic cars in them. The 007 franchise is known for its luxury cars. We all remember the car garage scene from Ferris Bueller. There are iconic cars all over Hollywood, from Herbie the Love Bug to Smokey and the Bandit. We will look at the real prices of some of these iconic cars.

1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder

The Rosso Corsa 1961 Ferrari 250 GT SWB California Spider had only 56 ever made. The famous car was Cameron’s dad’s in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. There were only 37 cars made with those well-known headlights. It is a rare car and hard to put an actual price on. For the first time in the car’s history, it was available for a public sale. It sold for $17.16 million in March 2016.

1963 Aston Martin DB5

The 1963 Aston Martin DB5 had an original sale price of a little more than $5,500, which would be about $45,000 after inflation. It is now a well-known car because of the 007 franchise. The first appearance of 007’s luxury car was in 1964’s Goldfinger. It was also in 1965’s Thunderball, 1995’s GoldenEye, 1997’s Tomorrow Never Dies and 2006’s Casino Royale. The car has now had an 11,000% increase in its sale price. Today, the 1963 Aston Martin DB5 goes for around $620,000. The original 1963 Aston Martin DB5 from GoldenEye was sold to a New York City spy museum for $2.6 million.

1966 Ford Thunderbird

Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon drove the car in the movie, and owners who bought the car before the movie saw the value increase. The value went up by 630%. Owners. In 2008, the 1966 Ford Thunderbird from the movie sold for $71,500 at auction.

The Fast and the Furious franchise has increased the price and interest of many cars over the years. The first movie came out in 2001, and the 1970 Dodge Charger became the focus. Interest in the car has increased since the 2001 premier of The Fast and the Furious. A 1970 Dodge Charger has recently sold for a little over $82,000.

1981 DeLorean DMC-12

The 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 was not a well-liked car in its time. The price was higher than it should have been with a $25,000 price tag. That would be $69,000 after inflation. There are very few movie cars that are as iconic as the 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 first seen in Back To The Future. Christopher Lloyd’s time-traveling speedster got Michael J. Fox back to the future. It didn’t help the car itself. Today, a normal 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 goes for around $32,400. There are special edition cars made for the movie, and ones changed by the owners to mimic the movie.
